The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Even though I read the description a few times, I neglected to realize just how big this purse is. The size, in my opinion, ruins the look of this bag. I could almost deliver mail with it :-) I love big purses, but this one just didn't look flattering and wasn't pleasing to my eyes.
Also the clasp is difficult to open - the metal 'loop' has to be pulled through the opening and was very inconvenient to use.
Other than that, I did not like the way they dyed it. I guess it is supposed to make it look aged/vintage, but it did not blend nicely.

I'm really interested in the Frye purses but don't understand for the life of me why: 1) No sizes/dimensions are included in the listings. 2) no body silhoutte is used to show proportion of the bag to the body. Just these two features alone would go a long way in assisting customers in choosing the right bag with less surprises and product returns.

Soft leather, very attractive color. The size is on the larger size of medium I would say. It is fairly thin in depth, but is about 13 inches by 13 inches. because of the depth I would say larger size of medium. It is a cute crossbody look. The hardware is high quality, and the lining is very nice. It has a pocket on the front for quick to reach items like cell phones or keys. The two flaps on the side are magnetic closure for security. I am happy with this purchase!!! Great handbag by Frye.
